Val Farr- Cranio Sacral

Hello!

I’m Valerie, and I often think of myself as a bit of a United Nations when it comes to spirituality. My journey began in Alabama, where I was introduced to the world of spirituality through Catholicism. It laid the groundwork for my understanding of faith, but my heart yearned for something more expansive. As a teenager, I discovered the writings of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, Robert Monroe, and Brian Weiss. Their insights opened my eyes to the vastness of life and the afterlife, prompting me to explore deeper truths. Along the way, I developed a strong connection to Native American culture and healing practices, which have continuously inspired me. In 1987, I took a leap and moved to London. What a transformative experience that was! It was there that I encountered new spiritual awakenings and alternative healing modalities. A key turning point for me was reading "Miracle of Love" by Ram Dass. It resonated so deeply within me, connecting my heart to the teachings of Neem Karoli Baba. Other books, like "Autobiography of a Yogi," and insights from Wallace Black Elk and Carlos Castaneda, further shaped my path. My formal exploration of alternative healing started in 1991 when I studied Past Life Regression and Extraction Healing with Denise Linn, followed by massage therapy at The Churchill Centre. Growing through these experiences was incredibly fulfilling. In 2003, I made my way to California, where I pursued further education in Massage Therapy and Cranio-Sacral Therapy at The Massage School of Santa Monica and the Life Energy Institute. I was fortunate to train with the Milne Institute for Visionary Cranio-Sacral Therapy as well, alongside diving into Somatic Trauma Release and Sound Healing. Shamanic healing has a special place in my heart.

I began my studies with Michael Harner at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and continued learning with Sandra Ingerman in practices like Soul Retrieval and Healing With Spiritual Light. Today, I’m actively involved in the Global Shamanic Teachers and Practitioners group, constantly learning and sharing within this vibrant community. Though Cranio Sacral Therapy is the modality I work the most with at the moment, through my varied experiences, I aim to honor the interconnectedness of all life.
